A Transformative Journey of Empowerment and Growth

Our Yoga Alliance-approved 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is an immersive experience designed for those who feel called to teach, as well as sincere students who want to deepen their relationship with yoga.

Through a curriculum that blends ancient wisdom with modern teaching methodology, you'll explore yoga far beyond the physical postures while developing the knowledge, skills, and self-awareness to become a confident teacher and a lifelong student.

More than a certification, this is an opportunity to challenge yourself, build lasting friendships, and become part of a supportive community that will inspire and support you long after graduation.

Two Lead Teachers.

Two Complementary Perspectives.

One Integrated 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

One of the unique aspects of Sage Yoga's 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training is the opportunity to learn from two experienced lead trainers whose backgrounds, strengths, and teaching styles complement one another beautifully.

Together, Reyna Beckler and Leslie Salmon bring more than 40 years of combined teaching experience, blending dynamic movement, creative sequencing, intelligent alignment, anatomy, yoga philosophy, and therapeutic application into one cohesive training. Reyna's background in hot yoga, Vinyasa Flow, and studio ownership complements Leslie's expertise as a Certified Yoga Therapist and her foundation in alignment-based Anusara Yoga, giving trainees both practical teaching skills and a deep understanding of how to adapt yoga to meet the needs of a wide variety of students.

Over the past 11 years, Reyna and Leslie have led and mentored more than 100 students through Sage's 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Many of their graduates have gone on to teach at Sage Yoga Studios and in studios and communities throughout Southern California and beyond.

Learn From a Diverse Team of Experienced Teachers

In addition to learning from Reyna and Leslie throughout the training, you'll also have the opportunity to study with several experienced guest teachers who bring specialized knowledge and unique perspectives. These sessions provide valuable insight into a variety of topics, including Yin Yoga, Prenatal Yoga, Trauma Informed Yoga, Sound Healing, Pranayama, meditation, and other specialized areas of practice.

Together, our lead trainers and guest teachers create a well-rounded, engaging learning experience that exposes you to a variety of teaching styles, philosophies, and modalities while maintaining one cohesive curriculum. You'll graduate with a broader understanding of yoga, greater confidence as a teacher, and the skills to support a wide range of students with authenticity, knowledge, and compassion.

  • What is the program schedule?

Program Dates: Our next 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training begins in January 2027. Exact dates will be announced soon.

    Program Schedule: Approximately 20 weeks

Fridays: 5:30–6:30 pm · Sage Bonsall

Saturdays: 12:30–5:30 pm · Sage Fallbrook

  • Are there any prerequisites?

There are no educational requirements, however, we encourage applicants to have an established yoga practice of at least six (6) months and a solid foundation in basic postures. For those who are newer to Sage Yoga Studios, we recommend spending time practicing with our teachers prior to the start of the training to become familiar with our approach, teaching style, and community. If you don’t have an established practice yet, we encourage you to begin building one now.

  • Who is leading the program?

The training will be led by Reyna Beckler (E-RYT 500), Owner of Sage Yoga Studios, and Leslie Salmon (E-RYT 500, C-IAYT). In addition, guest teachers with specialized experience will offer workshops and lectures to deepen your understanding of the vast and diverse world of yoga.

  • What styles of yoga are taught in this program?

This training provides a strong foundation in both Hatha and Vinyasa-style yoga. You’ll learn how to teach postures and breathing techniques safely, confidently, and intelligently, while developing the skills to create thoughtful, well-structured classes.

Our program emphasizes understanding the why behind the practice. This approach prepares you to teach yoga beyond a specific style, allowing your unique voice, perspective, and personal practice to naturally shape how you teach.

  • Will I be ready to teach after completing this program?

Upon completion of this program, you will have a toolbox of techniques and methods for teaching yoga. The practice teaching sessions will provide you with a highly experiential process of learning how to effectively communicate the information to others, finding your teaching voice, and developing language that is authentic and unscripted. Consider teacher training as the beginning of your journey and something you will cultivate for many years ahead.

  • Are there required books?

You will be given a list of required and suggested books upon registration.

  • How much time will be expected of me on a weekly basis?

Aside from the regular scheduled days of training, expect to add 3-4 hours per week for home practice, practice classes, and homework assignments. This program requires focus, dedication, and time commitment so please consider your availability carefully before registering.

  • Will I be a registered yoga teacher when I complete the program?

You will be a Certified Yoga Teacher through Sage Yoga Studios, as a Registered Yoga School with Yoga Alliance. After completing our program, you will be eligible to register with Yoga Alliance to be a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200).

  • Will there be teaching opportunities?

While we cannot guarantee a teaching position for every graduate of our YTT Program, we prioritize our graduates when considering candidates for new teaching roles as they become available. Upon successfully completing our program, you'll be at the forefront for these opportunities. To help you start your teaching journey promptly, we also offer opportunities to substitute teach, allowing you to gain practical experience and become an integral part of our teaching community.

  • What happens if I miss a class or don’t complete all required hours?

Up to 2 missed days can be made up with additional homework. Missing more than 2 days will require in-person makeups at an additional cost.

All required hours must be completed within one year of the program’s end date. If the required hours are not completed within that timeframe, certification will not be granted, and the training must be retaken in full at the regular tuition rate.

  • What is the cancellations policy?

In the event that Sage Yoga Studios cancels the training for any reason, students who have paid a deposit or paid the full tuition will receive a full refund or may choose to apply their payment toward a future training.

Student cancellations received on or before February 13, 2026 are eligible for a refund, minus the deposit fee. Cancellations received on or after February 14, 2026 are non-refundable.

Participants who withdraw from the program after the start date will not receive a refund and will remain responsible for all payments according to their selected payment plan.

The Yoga Teacher Training program was such a meaningful experience. I appreciated the balance of philosophy, asana, anatomy, teaching practice, and self-reflection. It gave me a strong foundation while also helping me find more confidence in my own voice as a teacher. The instructors brought so much knowledge, care, and real-life experience into the training. I appreciate how each teacher has a different style and perspective, which helped us see that there isn’t just one way to teach yoga. I highly recommend Sage Yoga Studios Yoga Teacher Training.
