Book you flight to San Jose International Airport, Costa Rica (SJO) We recommend booking early to secure the best rates and preferred travel times. Please reach out to us before booking your flights. We’re happy to assist and may be able to help coordinate carpooling to the airport. Complimentary shuttle service provided to/from San Jose (SJO) Drive time: Approximately 2 hours each way Retreat Schedule: Start date: April 24, 2027 End date: April 30, 2027 Important Notes: Airfare is the responsibility of each participant. Early arrivals and extended stays are welcome; however, additional transportation, lodging, and meals are not included. Passport Requirement Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the retreat dates. If your passport has expired or is expiring soon, please begin the renewal process as early as possible. Travel Insurance We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your travel investment and personal belongings while traveling to Costa Rica. Choosing a policy with “cancel for any reason” coverage can offer extra peace of mind in the event of unexpected changes to your plans. This is the only way to ensure potential reimbursement in the event you must cancel.

One of the most exciting parts of our retreat is the opportunity to explore the natural beauty, vibrant culture, and unforgettable experiences Costa Rica has to offer! All of the following adventures and activities are included in your retreat package, but participation is completely optional. We encourage you to join in as much or as little as you'd like. Whether you're feeling adventurous or prefer a little extra time to relax and recharge, this retreat is yours to enjoy at your own pace. Exchanging dollars to colones in Costa Rica typically offers a more favorable rate than doing so before your arrival. Not every establishment in Costa Rica accepts credit cards, although U.S. dollars are widely accepted. It's advisable to carry sufficient local currency for purchases, dining, and gratuities.

April is one of the driest months of the year in Costa Rica, making it a wonderful time to experience the beauty of the rainforest. Expect pleasantly warm days with temperatures ranging from 75–80°F and cooler evenings around 60–65°F. The comfortable mountain climate is ideal for outdoor yoga, exploring nature, and relaxing in the fresh air. We recommend bringing light, breathable clothing for daytime activities and a sweater or light jacket for the cooler mornings and evenings. And since we'll be surrounded by lush rainforest, a little tropical rain is always possible.

Due to the contractual obligations of the retreat center, all payments made by participants are subject to strict cancellation terms. All deposits are non-refundable. Refunds for additional payments are subject to the following schedule: More than 120 days before retreat start date: Refund of payments made, minus deposit and credit card processing fees 120–90 days before retreat start date: Payments made (minus deposit and credit card processing fees) may be applied as a credit toward a future Sage Yoga retreat or training, at our discretion. 89–61 days before retreat start date: You may transfer your spot to another participant of your choice, subject to approval and completion of registration requirements, or to someone on the waitlist if one is available. 60 days or less before retreat start date: 100% of total retreat cost is non-refundable and non-transferable. No credits will be offered. These terms apply regardless of personal circumstances, including illness, injury, work conflicts, travel issues, or changes in personal plans. We strongly encourage you to purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including “Cancel For Any Reason” coverage, to protect your investment in the event of unexpected changes to your plans.
